What Happened To These Shows?





What ever happened to Harlem Heights, College Hill, and Baldwin Hills? Each of these shows shed African Americans in a positive light, and we are curious to know why they each stopped airing on BET. These shows introduced the world to the black college student, the black college graduate, the black entreprenuer, the black philanthropist, the black kids who came from good homes, and the black sophisticate. It was wonderful seeing shows that didn't depict african americans as drug dealers, and gangsters. We hope that they will bring these shows back, or at least create more like them. Fingers crossed.

    I feel you. I'm super late but I feel good after watching a marathon of Harlem Heights on Hulu! I'm with you... bring positive relatable black shows back!

    As we all know any thing positive never air for long I've watched all 3 shows and really enjoyed them I wish they would bring them back or air the repeats

In Living Color is BACK!!

To celebrate their 25th Anniversary, Fox is bringing back one of it's MOST successful shows. .none other than everybody and their mama's favorite "In Living Color"!! Keenan Ivory Wayans will produce 2 half hour specials this seasons.  If the specials are a hit (i.e. ratings) the actual show will RETURN next year as apart of the Fox 2012 Fall Line Up.  Wayans has yet to say if any of our favorite's Jim Carrey "Fire Marshall Bill", Jamie Foxx "Wanda", or the clown we could never get enough of "Homie" Damon Wayans will make any cameos.  It has been stated that their will be a BRAND NEW cast for the new season. .So you know what that means? Maybe the Sexy NEXT generation of Wayans will be taking the reign's. .Damon Jr. .Damian. .Hmm. .Either way. .We are READY!! We will keep you posted on when the specials will air. .So we can get the ratings they need. .So we can have one of our FAVorites back

Today In Black History

1860* Birthday of Ralph Waldo Tyler, journalist, Auditor-General of the Navy and World War I foreign correspondent. Te oldest of 12 children, Tyler is believed to have been born in Ohio. He attended elementary and high schools in Columbus, Ohio, studied a year in Baldwin,Missouri, and began teaching school at age 19. Tyler taught himself shorthand while working as a janitor at the "Columbus Evening Dispatch." He later was given an opportunity to prove his reporting ability. Tyler worked in circulation, business and news departments of the paper and as an assistant to the manager and secretary to the owner. He became successful as a society reporter. He was the first African American foreign war correspondent and the only accredited African American correspondent in World War I. Both African American and White newspapers carried Tyler's stories.
