Born and raised in the South side of Chicago, Illinois by his single mother, this handsome gentleman has had passion for the game since a child. 
Guided and Guarded by his 3 older brothers who were proficient in the game, he was destined for greatness. 


Derrick attended Chicago's prestigious Simeon Career Academy were he was a star player averaging 19.8 points a game. 
He was named Illinois "Mr. Basketball"  and named to the McDonald's "All American" Team.
In 2007 he accepted a scholarship to attend the University of Memphis. 
At Memphis he helped lead the "Tigers" to being the #1 team in the South and to the NCAA Final Four.

His agent is former Bulls guard B. J. Armstrong.


Rose was announced as the cover athlete for the 2K Sports Downloadable Content game, NBA 2K10 Draft Combine, which was released on Xbox Live Arcade for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3.

I'm sure you saw the title of the post and thought I was going to start talking about myself. .LoL!! Sorry!! Anywhoo. .over the weekend I heard some of the BEST news a book-lover could ever hear. .That one of your FAVorite characters will be coming to the big screen.
